Sigo por un desierto no tratado,
sin luz, sin guía, en confusión perdido,
el vano error, que sólo me ha traído
a la miseria del más triste estado.
Cuanto me alargo más, voy más errado
y a mayores peligros ofrecido,
dejar atrás el mal me es defendido,
que el paso del remedio está cerrado.
En ira enciende el daño manifiesto
al corazón caído, y cobra aliento
contra la instante tempestad osando.
O venceré tanto rigor molesto,
o en los concursos de su movimiento
moriré, con mis males acabando.
