Bello cerco y ondoso, que enlazado
en sutil vuelta y varia de ámbar pura
tenéis mi preso cuello, que aun procura
hallarse más revuelto y anudado;
si el vigor de este fuego renovado
veo que abrasa ¡oh bien de mi ventura!
a aquella que me tiene, ingrata y dura,
ausente y de mí todo enajenado,
no habrá en el suelo nuestro ni en el cielo
hebras lucientes de oro terso tales,
no de amor tan hermosa red y llama;
ni aun en el cielo habrá, ni habrá en el suelo
despojos de cabello ilustre iguales,
honor o rica trenza de quien ama.
