- XXXVII -
Viví gran tiempo en confusión perdido
y todo de mi mismo enajenado;
desesperé de bien, que en tal estado
perdí la mejor luz de mi sentido.
Mas cuando de mí tuve más olvido,
rompió los duros lazos al cuidado
de Amor el enemigo más honrado,
y ante mis pies lo derribó vencido.
Ahora que procuro mi provecho
puedo decir que vivo, pues soy mío,
libre, ajeno de Amor y de tus daños.
Pueda el desdén, Antonio, en vuestro pecho
acabar semejante desvarío
antes que prevalezcan sus engaños.
