Lloro solo mi mal, y el hondo río
en sus turbadas ondas lleva el llanto;
ya es tiempo, digo, Amor, en triste canto,
que pongas justo fin al dolor mío;
que sigo ausente sin tu desvarío,
y en tu vana esperanza me levanto,
y en este paso desamparas cuanto
de tu promesa y tu valor confío.
Ya es tiempo, Amor, que el áspero tormento
acabe, o que mi vida se deshaga,
la esperanza, el deseo y osadía;
que en tanto mal ya falta el sufrimiento,
y el crudo golpe de esta acerba llaga
al íntima llegó del alma mía.
