En tu cristal movible la belleza
veo, Nereo padre, figurada
de mi luz, que de rayos coronada,
muestra alegre su gracia y su grandeza.

Tus ondas vibran y arden con la alteza
de la llama titania, y la rosada
frente alabo, y de púrpura imitada
en ellas, y de nieve la pureza.

Si alzo al polo los ojos, donde junto
te pinta su color, presente miro
de mi lucero el dulce ardor florido.

Y dudoso del bien, al mismo punto
vuelvo, y en tu fulgente ponto admiro
su esplendor, y en el cielo dividido.
