Bien puede el vano error y la porfía
de mi ardiente deseo desfrenado
llevarme en su furor arrebatado,
y oscurecerme el cielo en claro día;
que al fin la luz serena que me guía
la vista abre de nuevo a mi cuidado,
y de improviso error todo ocupado,
repugnó a la perdida suerte mía.
Respiro ya del importuno peso;
y aunque no arrojo el yugo sacudido,
no me oprime la fuerza del tormento.
Ni libre canto ya, ni lloro preso,
ni sano de mi llaga ni herido;
dudoso estó en confuso sentimiento.
