Pasan tan prestos los alegres días,
volando sin parar apresurados,
y del perdido bien acompañados
llevan tras sí las esperanzas mías.
Mas los que traen las ansias, las porfías,
temor, recelos, bascas y cuidados,
éstos pasan despacio, tan pesados,
que parecen que van por otras vías.
Pues si no muda el sol su movimiento,
si regla cierta en sus caminos guarda,
si no se puede errar orden del cielo,
las horas enojosas del tormento
¿por qué tan luengas son? ¿Cómo se tarda?
Y las alegres, ¿quién las lleva en vuelo?
