Vuestro nombre, señora, que asegura
cuanto vuestra beldad hace dudoso,
demás de aquel mirar dulce y piadoso
han sido la ocasión de mi tristura.
Temía, y con razón, esta aventura,
puesto que fue el principio venturoso;
no era por mi parte temeroso,
mas de parte de vuestra hermosura.
El alma, en el tormento ejercitada,
de nueva sujeción quería librarse,
del antiguo error escarmentada.
Pero ¿cómo podía decir salvarse
quien tanto del primero mal se agrada
y no quiere de vos saber guardarse?
