«Marina de Aragón yace aquí. Espera,
detén el paso y apresura el llanto.»
«¿Y éste a quien el dolor aflige tanto
quién es?» «Muerto su bien ya no es el que era.»

«¡Ay, rabioso pesar!, ¡ay pena fiera!
¿Es Amor el que cubre oscuro manto?»
«Sí, mas oye qué dice y nota cuánto
el cielo nos llevó, que no debiera»:

Beldad, gracia, valor, virtud, cordura,
ingenio, honestidad, seso, arte y gloria,
linaje y todo el bien que da ventura,

se ha llevado la muerte y por memoria
su nombre mostrará esta piedra dura;
yo tendré cargo de llorar su historia.
