Luz que a mis ojos das luz más serena,
vida que da la vida al alma mía,
beldad por quien se aparta y se desvía
de sentir el sentido y enajena;
gloria de mi dolor, bien de mi pena,
de todo mi pesar sola alegría,
fuego que hace arder mi fantasía
del más sabroso ardor que amor ordena;
¡pudiese yo, como querría, mostraros
el pecho abierto, do el amor ha escrito
cuanto quiero y no acierto a descubriros!
Mas si no puede ser para moveros
que llegue ya mi mal a lo infinito,
¿qué más cierta señal que mis suspiros?
