Siendo por Alejandro ya ordenado
que Lausato ciudad se deshiciese,
como venir su buen maestro viese
a suplicar por ella apresurado,

en viéndole, juró determinado
de no le conceder lo que pidiese;
él pidió entonces que la destruyera,
por do el mísero pueblo fue librado.

Así, viendo por vos determinada
mi perdición, señora, conocida,
estilo mudaré por mudar suerte,

pidiéndoos contra la costumbre usada,
o que para morir me deis la vida
o que para vivir me deis la muerte.
