Lo que es mortal padece esta prisión,
que lo inmortal, señora, está en la vuestra;

Por donde yo no hallo por razón
que a Fortuna llamar deba siniestra,
pues ella me guió con mano diestra
a veros y a sufrir por vos pasión.

cuando pienso este bien en que me puso,
no sólo le perdono su mudanza,

pero aún no estando satisfecha de esto,
de cualquier otro mal también la excuso
