Nunca me vi tan solo ni apartado,
que lo pudiese estar de un pensamiento
que me renueva el doloroso cuento
de mi estado presente y del pasado;
do Amor, por verme siempre lastimado
con apariencias de contentamiento,
modera su rigor, y luego siento
con esperanza mi dolor mezclado.
Entran luego los dos en su porfía,
donde en fin el temor vence la prueba
y pierde la esperanza mal fundada.
En esto estoy mil veces cada día,
y siempre el mismo caso me renueva
tristes congojas y, pasión doblada.
