- VII - El Viernes Santo al alma

Alma, pues hoy el que formó la vida
y el que tiene poder sobre la muerte,
sólo por remediar tu eterna muerte
dio el precio inestimable de su vida,
mira que es justo que en ti tengan vida
los méritos y pasos de su muerte,
y conoce que es viento, sombra o muerte
cuando el error del mundo llama vida.
Y así podrás, saliendo de esta muerte,
entrar en posesión de aquella vida
que no la acabará tiempo ni muerte.
Endereza el camino a mejor vida,
deja el siniestro que te lleva a muerte,
que el derecho es más llano y va a la vida.
